After successful season, Track looks toward future
A national championship, nearly a dozen All-Americans, impressive showings at numerous meets – all in all their first year as an NCAA Division II program wound up keeping the Hawks and Lady Hawks track teams at Shorter in the national spotlight.

Women take 2nd, Men 8th at NCCAA Outdoor Championship
Shorter’s track teams competed in the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships. Host school Judson University welcomed over 600 student-athletes from all across the country to Joliet, Illinois, to test their skills on the track and in the field. The Hawks and Lady Hawks of Shorter didn’t disappoint.

Track performs well at Rome Shorter Relays
This Easter weekend, Shorter hosted its second annual Rome-Shorter Relays. The meet, a return to the days of old when Barron Stadium served as host of the Rome News Relays, had over 200 competitors from as far as New Orleans and Tennessee. However, host school Shorter University, served notice that those who step into Barron Stadium and onto the track should expect stiff competition.

Shorter wrapped up its regular season this weekend at the Tiger Paw Invitational on the campus of Clemson University. The Tigers welcomed over 25 colleges and universities, including such notable teams such as the University of South Carolina, Gardner Webb, and former NAIA rival Embry Riddle.

In a rare Monday meet, the men and women of Shorter once again competed at the Birmingham Crossplex. This time, Emory University served as the host of the Emory Crossplex Invitational, welcoming teams from as far as Mississippi to compete.
