Ask any college coach to give you the characteristics of a perfect senior class. You may hear words such as dedicated, committed, talented, faithful, accomplished and perseverant. But Shorter University head volleyball coach Jon Moseley wouldn’t list traits. He would probably just give you names.

Lady Hawks fall in NCCAA championship match to McMurry, 3-0
In the NCCAA Championship match, the Lady Hawks (28-7) were found on the wrong side of a 3-0 decision to McMurry, the only team to hand the Lady Hawks a defeat in the national tournament.

Volleyball to play for NCCAA Championship, defeats Fresno Pacific 3-2
In the first semi-final match of the day the Lady Hawks defeated the No. 1 Fresno Pacific, 3-2. The victory sends Shorter to the championship match this afternoon versus the winner of the McMurry University / Campbellsville University match up. The championship will be played at 3 pm.

For the first time since the beginning of the season, the Lady Hawks were scheduled to play twice in one day with the start of the NCCAA National Championship Tournament. Shorter lost the opener to McMurry 3-1, but came back in the second match of the day to defeat Bethel 3-1.
