GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Tori Bradley paced Shorter with 14 kills and Jasmine Crooke and Loren Olive chipped in with nine kills apiece as Shorter cruised to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-10 victory over Montreat College in the Lady Hawks' final match of the Rumpke Invitational in Georgetown, Ky.

Jordan Corder had 39 assists and Tanequa Whitman recorded a team-high 15 digs as Shorter (8-2) completed a 2-2 weekend against some of the top competition in the country.

"Our effort was tremendous and we played very well this weekend," said Shorter head coach Jon Moseley, whose team sandwiched two five-set losses to Grace (Ind.), who is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Poll, and host Georgetown (Ky.), the 2009 NAIA national runner-up, between victories over Union (Ky.) and Montreat.

"We played well enough to go 4-0, but didn't get the breaks," Moseley added. "We played at least two national tournament teams, in my opinion, and we definitely got better this weekend."

Against Montreat (5-7), Shorter looked like its usual, efficient self, hitting .359 with 47 kills against 10 errors. The Lady Hawks' dominance was most evident in the third and final set when Bradley recorded four kills to ignite a 14-1 run that left Shorter ahead 22-7.

Corder had nine digs and two aces to go along with her assist total. Jessica Cooper had five kills for the Lady Hawks, who return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when they host Oglethorpe at 7:30 pm in the Winthrop-King Centre.
