2011 Outlook: One of the most versatile players on
Shorter’s roster, Meghan Weller returns as a
jack-of-all-trades that can fill just about any role on the
court... Weller is one of the most prolific servers in Lady Hawk
history and currently ranks sixth on Shorter’s all-time aces
list with 93.
College Career: Weller proved a valuable option
off the bench as a junior in 2010, displaying her all around talent
by setting new career-highs in digs (191) and service aces (39)...
Made several starts mid-season and flourished in that role,
recording double-digit digs on five occasions and three times in a
seven-game span in mid-September... Had a career-high four aces in
a win over NCAA Division II North Greenville... Weller turned in a
solid sophomore season in 2009, racking up 123 digs and posting a
career-high 15 digs in a win over Reinhardt... Had 14 digs in
Shorter’s epic five-set 2009 SSAC Tournament final against
Lee... Burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2008 and demonstrated
her all-around talent with 94 kills, 24 assists, 29 aces, 108 digs
and 34 blocks... Weller is a two-time SSAC All-Academic
selection.
