Women's Lacrosse opens season with 13-6 win over Midland
Katie Ott scored three goals and Amelia Wiggins, Avery Armstrong and Bianca Rojas added two goals apiece as Shorter's women's lacrosse squad opened the 2012 season with a 13-6 win over visiting Midland University in a National Women's Lacrosse League matchup.

National Women's Lacrosse League first team honoree Bianca Rojas scored five goals and scooped up 13 ground balls, Whitney Dixe added four goals and three assists and Shorter University held on to beat Missouri Baptist University 18-17 in the third place game at the NWLL Tournament in Rome, Ga.

SCAD overwhelms Women's Lax in regular season finale
Shorter University's Katie Ott scored a team and game-high four goals, but host Savannah College of Art and Design reeled off eight straight goals in the first half to take control and ultimately score a 21-5 win over the Lady Hawks in Shorter's final regular season game of its inaugural season.
