 First Shorter competitive cheerleaders begin practice, host clinic on Saturday Rome, Ga. - Shorter's 17th intercollegiate sport has officially started, as the Hawks and Lady Hawks competitive cheerleaders reported to campus this week. The new program will begin this fall at football and basketball games, and will compete in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), which holds its college championship every April in Daytona Beach, Fla.
