 Altitude Christian Distance Camp interviews Stephenson Rome, Ga. - Cross country coaches Jay and Karmen Stephenson were recently interviewed for the Altitude Christian Distance Camp, a Christian running camp designed to develop college distance runners to excel in competitive running and Christian living. The camp is held every summer in Mammoth Lakes, California. MORE [+]  Burgess named NAIA Scholar-Athlete Kansas City, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced 298 men's and women's cross country runners have been named 2007 Daktronics-NAIA Cross Country Scholar-Athletes. Among these, Marc Burgess from Shorter has received this honor for the second year in a row. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. MORE [+]  Hernandez leads cross country to 24th place at Nationals Kenosha, Wis. - In their first trip to Nationals in the short two year history of the program, the Shorter College Hawks cross country team finished in 24th place, with 583 points.
