Michael Ward comes to Shorter for his first season as assistant coach with the Shorter University men's and women’s tennis program after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Geology and History degree.

As an assistant coach, Ward is charged with player development while also aiding head coach Dr. Orville Adams with recruiting responsibilities.
