Men's Tennis soars past Young Harris, 7-2

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. -- The No. 10 Shorter University men's tennis team laced up to face the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Tuesday and took the victory in a 7-2 win at the Young Harris College Tennis Complex.

The Hawks nearly swept both the single and doubles categories with only two losses for Shorter during the evening. Hawks Florain Etienne and Romain Ferriera paired up to defeat the Mountain Lions' duo of Martin Harach and Keon Gottenbos 9-7 at No. 2 doubles. Shorter duet Romain Lefevre and Arturo Lifshitz beat their opponents in a close matchup, 8-6.

The Hawks next take the court on Feb. 25 when they visit Tennessee Wesleyan. Match time is set for 1 pm.
