Previous Career: Kenny Leverette arrived at Shorter in January 2011 from Southwestern Illinois Junior College where he was a two-year standout on the hardwood... A two-time NJCAA All-Region and Great Rivers Athletic Conference All-League selection, Leverette was named GRAC Freshman of the Year in 2008-09 and first team All-Region and All-Conference in 2009-10... As a sophomore at SWIC, Leverette ranked third on the team in scoring at 10.1 points a game while ranking second on the team in assists and free throws made...  SWIC won a regional championship during Leverette’s tenure and appeared in the NJCAA National Tournament.
