Sonny Skinner (Golf)

Former Shorter standout golfer Sonny Skinner won two tournaments in 1981 for the Hawks before turning professional in 1982.

Skinner captured a pair of victories on the Buy.com Tour in the 1993 Nike Shreveport Open and the 1994 Nike Dominion Open, and was a member of the PGA Tour in 1997 and 1998.

While a member of the Tour, Skinner fired an opening round of 62 at the 1997 Buick Open, tying the Warwick Hills Golf Course record.
