John Maddox (Track & Field)

A top track and field performer for Shorter in the early 1960s, John Maddox set Georgia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference records in the 100 and 220 yard dashes as well as the high and low hurdles.

Maddox was a member of Shorter's 1963 conference championship squad, and was voted the Most Valuable Member of the 1964 team.
