Andy Wade (Distinguished Service)

Andy Wade has been an integral and valuable part of the Shorter University Athletic department for 30 years and is regarded as one of the best in his field. He graduated in 1985 from Shorter and during his years at Shorter he kept stats for men's and women's basketball and baseball at all home and away games as well as home tennis matches. 

At Kennesaw State University from 1987-1989, Wade served as NAIA District 25 Sports Information Director and received his MA in Health and Phys Ed from KSU in 1989. He returned to Shorter in 1989 and served two years as head statistician for the the Hawks and Lady Hawks basketball teams. Since 1994 has served 15 consecutive years at all Shorter home games. While at Shorter Andy has worked for 8 different coaches including Shorter Hall of Fame members Hamp Alexander and Walter Attaway.
