GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Shorter University golfers Patric Sundlof and Pauline Schopp have been named National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Student-Athletes of the Week, the organization announced in its weekly release on Tuesday.

Sundlof received NCCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week honors on the heels of shooting a 5-under par 139 (70-69) to win medalist honors in Shorter's dual match with Gulf South Conference rival Christian Brothers.

Schopp claimed  NCCAA Women's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week accolades based on her medalist performance at The Buc 11 tournament hosted by Christian Brothers, where she fired a 4-over par 148 (75-73) to lead the pack.

"We are so proud of both Pauline and Patric for becoming the first ever Shorter student-athletes recognized by the NCCAA as Student-Athletes of the Week," said Director of Athletics Bill Peterson. "Hopefully, they will be the first of many to receive this award."

Each golfer is presently representing Shorter at the NCCAA Championships in Panama City Beach, Fla. The Lady Hawks are scheduled to conclude their tournament today with the Hawks finishing up final round play on Wednesday.
